Le Pitou Boutique; Spa, Hotel and Daycare in Forest Hills, New York, is known for its cat-related services and has received detailed feedback from visitors. One visitor noted: 'My friend use to take his maltese here all the time always on a Friday and times and times again when we got there after 7 he was not ready, sometimes we had to wait until 8 but it was not a problem because we understand they were busy but when it came to picking him up last Friday I was told that he has to be picked up at 6:45 ..while they know that we were at work and could not leave ...they even proceed to tell me that I had to pay extra ...very dissatisfied with them There is other places where we can take him and don't have to be harassed while we are paying and they don't even do the job properly' Another review mentioned: 'IβΓΓ΄ve brought my Persian cat here before and was quoted $90, which I also paid at my last visit. This time, I was quoted the same price again. However, when my mom went to pick him up, they suddenly raised the price to $150 without any warning - a $60 increase. They explained it was because my cat was βΓΓΊfussy,βΓΓΉ and while I fully acknowledge that he can get fussy, to upcharge that drastically without telling me beforehand is unprofessional and poor business practice. To make things more difficult, I had to leave work and come down myself since my mom doesnβΓΓ΄t speak much English. When I arrived, instead of handling the situation with professionalism, the staff was extremely rude. After I expressed that we would not be returning due to this dishonest pricing, their response was: βΓΓΊGood, we donβΓΓ΄t need your business.βΓΓΉ The lack of humility was just nasty. I want to emphasize to whoever reading this that I deeply respect and appreciate service workers and IβΓΓ΄ve always been mindful and patient. But the way this situation was handled - the surprise price jump, the dismissive attitude, and the nasty remark - was unacceptable. I rarely ever leave negative reviews but this experience was far too disrespectful to ignore. I will be sharing this story so that others know exactly how this business treats its customers. Word of mouth has consequences, and I hope they reconsider how they treat people in the future. EDIT in response to owner: This did in fact happen at this location, even if it was some time ago. That doesnβΓΓ΄t change the fact that it did happen, and I stand by my original feedback. Based on your response alone, the attitude unfortunately seems unchanged. IβΓΓ΄ve also read your replies to other pet owners, and the unprofessionalism is honestly shocking. I canβΓΓ΄t even fathom how a business can operate this way and think itβΓΓ΄s acceptable. When a company canβΓΓ΄t even take accountability on multiple public reviews, it says everything you need to know. Thank you for replying, but my opinion of the pricing and service stands firmer than before. EDIT 2: Your response just went in circles and never once addressed the way my mother and I were treated. Instead, you want to justify bad behavior and argue back and forth with a paying customer who is simply sharing their experience (regardless of when it happened). Knock yourself out on this very public forum, I encourage it. ItβΓΓ΄s very clear from your reply here and from other reviews that the staff behaves exactly as management allows. You could have earned some points with a simple βΓΓΊwe apologize,βΓΓΉ but it seems this business is incapable of admitting fault. To whoever got this far in my review, take a look for yourself and filter the reviews to "lowest", you will notice that it is ALWAYS the customer and pets fault.'
