Maspeth Animal Hospital in Maspeth, New York, is known for its cat-related services and has received detailed feedback from visitors. One visitor noted: 'DO NOT trust this clinic with travel paperwork for your pet. They will leave you stranded with your pet abroad OR having to pay ridiculous amounts of money because of their laziness. I had to watch my brother deal with this clinic as they gave him a wild run around all because they wouldnβt complete a service he asked them multiple times to complete. We traveled together abroad with his dog and this clinic helped us with the initial travel document, but then they failed us completely when it came to returning to the US. The CDC updated its regulations for returns and my brother informed the clinic of these changes and asked them to complete the new requirements multiple times. But they told him it was not necessary each time. He tried to verify a week before coming back and all of a sudden the clinic says thereβs a new requirement (the same one he had already informed them about). But because it wouldnβt come back on time, my brother and I had to spend almost $500 abroad to get another health certificate at our travel destination in order to return to the US with his dog. Those $500 would have been completely unnecessary had this clinic submitted what my brother asked them to on more than one occasion. Absolutely unacceptable.' Another review mentioned: 'I rarely write reviews but this experience has left me beyond frustrated. I have a lot to say, but let me make this as short as possible. My boyfriend traveled with his dog abroad and had to pay $400 for the international general health certificate. The CDC changed their policy and the same day they changed their policy. He contacted the hospital, making them aware of the change which directly affected his return. They brushed it off as if it wasnβt needed and two days before His flight back home to the US, he was then told that now all of a sudden he needed that document. I called on his behalf multiple times and he sent multiple emails and was ignored. I finally was able to have them fill out this form only for them to tell me that because it was so soon so his travel date. They were not sure if it would go through on time. Long story short, he never got the certificate and he had to go through CDC foreign guidelines, which cost him over $400 EXTRA. The day he came back, he went to the hospital and the doctor, after giving him the runaround basically said they were not responsible and they were not gonna find a cheaper place to get that certificate anyway. The lesson is that all βcheapβ Things come at a more expensive price later on. DONT DO BUSINESS HERE.'
